Our challenge was to build the tallest freestanding structure using ONLY the materials they were given. Those materials were 20 sticks of spaghetti, 1 yard of tape, 1 yard of string, and 1 large marshmallow. The marshmallow was to be placed at the very top of the structure. This was a great team building activity that was enjoyed by all!!!
We were lucky to have the Freeze football managers and a football player come into our classroom and read to us. It was cool to have football player Ty, (Trig's brother) and the 3 managers, Reese, (Mrs. Rustad's daughter), Eylie Homme, and Addi Bakke. We also got to hang a football jersey that was signed by all the players and managers in our classroom for a week.
Our class, along with the entire Newfolden Elementary, went over to the High School to watch the Homecoming Coronation. It is always fun to dance to the music and watch the students play games and get dressed up. I snapped some fun pics of some of them dancing and having a good time!!!
It is not a true first week of school in our classroom until we can save Fred, the worm!! It was a great week!

Mrs. RustadThis is my fourth year teaching in Newfolden and I am so excited for another great year! I was a 4th and 5th grade teacher in the Greenbush-Middle River School District before coming to MCC. My family and I live about 10 miles outside of Newfolden. My husband, Mark, and I have two children; our son, Keegan is 19 and our daughter, Reese is 17. They are both active in sports and keep us busy cheering them on! I look forward to an amazing year ahead in 4th grade at Newfolden Elementary. Archives
